Our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade program is a traditional program which introduces the younger students to the Step-Mod system, an ability-based instructional program developed exclusively by the staff of Hawarden Hills Academy. It allows children to be academically challenged at every level in Reading and Math, regardless of chronological age. Throughout the year, our special events give our teachers a chance to provide student-oriented learning experiences as an addendum to the regular curriculum.
Kindergarten Kickoff
is a new program beginning in February, 2010, for children who are at least four years and nine months of age. It will provide a bridge for those who did not qualify for Kindergarten last September. Monthly tuition is an affordable $458.00 for the standard 8:30 AM to 2 PM daily schedule. Extended day is available.
First Day of School
The first day of school for the 2009 - 2010 school year will be on Tuesday, September 8th. (This is the day after Labor Day.)
