Mr. Heredia's
Middle School computer curriculum has been structured as a progressive program going from basic to advanced course work. The purpose of the curriculum is to provide the student with a firm base of understanding in computer skills and in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel so that they can utilize their knowledge and skills at the High School level and beyond.
Students receive an introduction in interviewing and writing news stories. Students, alone or in teams, photograph and document school events. The students then produce written articles with photos they took and sometimes burn a DVD which include the photos and slide show.
Some of the projects are presented in the classroom, displayed on video screens, posted on bulletin boards and may be seen on the web.
